cropcircle research
introduction
Under the title CROPCIRCLE RESEARCH I reflect my findings
about the widely disputed phenomenon that is more correctly named "cropformation". It speaks for itself that the term
"cropformation" in stead of "cropcircle" holds a wider perspective that does more right to how the subject has
developed through the years. In dutch language there's even a larger difference between the common used "graancirkel"
and the more precise "gewasformatie". "Gewasformatie" turned out to be even more appropriate when after an evening
of puzzling with its annagrammatical composition I discovered the staggering fact that the question "of 't er
magie was?" which means "if there was magic?" could
be made out of it. In other words; the cropformation is a phenomenon in answer to the question if there was magic?!!!
About the controverse. It doesn't interest me to twist about the reality of the makers. The makers excist becouse
the formations are being made, that much is a fact. No matter if they are made by ordinary people, by aliëns, by
naturespirits, gods or whatever, what is expressed (or could be expressed) with these works of art is above all of
true value. However, I aspire to research the formations that are held for "real".
How did I get into it?
As most people do, I had heard about cropcircles. Got curious, so asked for my birthday a book about the
phenomenon. Recieved it, read it, tried to place the impressions from it, wrote a first article, then
left the book for what it was but it never really stayed out of my attention for long. After a while the subject
had taken me that much that I started collecting images that I took from the internet. When I oversee the
collection once in a while, it immediatly stimulates my imagination.
That I'm presenting a special division cropcircle research has directly to do with an optimistical impulse like
it would be a piece of cake for me to analize a steady portion of formations to their visual meaning. The first one
I did went perfectly well, so overestimating myself went perfectly well too. Some formations can really get you to
unforeseen difficulties. I should have known. In the cropcircleworld, so often, nothing is what it looks like.
By now I have made progress and am able to feed the outside world with, most of the time, original ideas.
Like I said the visual aspect I consider my domain in the field of research. So, what can be discovered in terms of
language or other significant idea's. Altough I try to bring information that no one before has come up with as much
as possible I will sometimes use the findings of others to clearefy things or work them out further.
I'm open for communication, discussion, etc., so that maybe also your idea's can find their way to this website.
I will only do that when according to me these idea's are strong enough.
At first instance I want to present my own rounded off analyses or striking associations. The risk of doing the
research of others over again can not be excluded of course. Allready for that reason it would be nice that as
much free fora or publications as possible can be visited. After all, it is still so that the art of cropformations
does appear in the fields for free too.
According to my idea, truly inspired works should not exclusively belong to certain classes, scenes or elite's, but
have to be easily in reach for anyone. At this time of common commercial extremism and the expanding gap between
the poor and the rich, I hope that the cropcircle community will take this point very seriously. Maybe the
"extra terrastial source" will please us even more with these mysterious and amazing works of art.
For those that are not familiar with the subject of cropcircles I advise to visit
circular site of Janet Ossebaard.
It is well written, informative and on top of that surveyable and beautiful edited.
The circles that I deal with are only just a small number out of the enormous amount, but as I said, I try to add new
information to what is known about the subject.
Hope you will enjoy!
Randell.
